Default Seriously Compliment

A friend of mine has a 911 Turbo (0-60 in 3.8 all whell drive, $120k car). I took his brother out for a ride down 2222 (a somewhat twisty road) the other night, and his comments were:

"This is every bit as exciting as the 911"...

Not too shabby!

I have a feeling his brother wasn't able to take full advantage of his 911 because he simply didn't know how to drive it "well"

..In all respect, the 911 should smoke us with ease.

O f course the Porsche turbo will smoke the S2000, but perhaps he meant that it was just as "exciting" to drive. I haven't had the privelege to drive the 911 turbo, but a few reviews had stated that it wasn't as fun to drive at speed despite it's incredible performance. Of course, if I had the money, I'd buy one just for the sheer "pimp factor"

Or he's just being nice... Look at the track times in one of
the road & track mags... the difference from 911tt to S2k is
7 seconds in a 2.87miles.. (is that a big difference?? Never been
to the real track)

I don't think the guy was talking performance wise. He was talking about the excitement of just being and driving in the car.

Jeeeez! Why is it so hard for people to believe that driving an S2000 is as "fun" as a 911 turbo, just because the turbo is faster? The S2000 pushes it's limits at it's given performance probably more so then the 911 pushes it's limits for it's performance. Why does a car have to be fast to do this? Go-Karts aren

There are a lot of people on this board that used to own 911's. They all say that the S2K is a driver's car and that they enjoy the challenge of trying to get the most out of the car. It's just as fun as the 911, but in a different way.

That compliment just needs to be taken with a thank you and not blown out of proportion with over analyticalness. He didn't say "Wow this car is faster than my bro's porsche!"
for pete's sake.

I have gotten nothing but great comments with the car and just say thanks evertime and wipe my baby with a diaper when noones looking. Don't ever read into em.
