Coming home last summer from picking up a box I could barely squeeze into the passenger seat, it
started pouring like crazy and I couldn't put the top up. I got soaked...I mean pounded, for about six or seven minutes but
I sure got a lot of horns and thumbs up.

OMG! I can't believe you did that with the S. Considering you and your wife both have sports cars, I would have thought you would get an SUV or something for times like these.

Seems we already own SUV's with the S...in fact you have just brought new meaning to the term Sport Utility Vehicle... we have a sports car and you have demonstrated its utility (try doing that with a normal hardtop beater)

I did a similar thing with an ironing board and a foldable drying rack. Both items folded to around 2m long, so the only solution was to pop the roof and stuff them in the passenger seat! I got a lot of chuckles from the parking lot store where I got the items!
