Well, I'm 33 and male, if that makes a difference. (Perhaps I'm too old for a red convertible.....)
A friend with a 2000 silver S2K just told me that the paint quality on the red S2K isn't very good, and it starts looking grungy pretty fast, especially if you don't wash it often.
Is that true, from the experience of those of you with red?

Red is a high maintenance color that looks great as long as it is clean and waxed/polished.
BTW, I'm almost 58 and I don't think that I'm too old to do anything.

Hey, all, thanks for all of the advice. I finally got to see a New Formula Red (used 2001 model) at the dealer and I compared it to the Sebring Silver.
No offense to you Sebring fans -- Sebring is nice and sophisticated -- but I just LOVE that deep, lustrous red.
Cops or no cops, dirt or no dirt, that's the color for me.
My preferred dealer is working a swap now to get me one.

MY S is my first red car after a succession of black ones. I LOVE IT! With the exception of a charging deer, I haven't had any accidents, nor have I had, in 2 1/2 years of ownership, any tickets (knocking on wood)...
Also, with a California car duster, keeping it clean is a breeze. I am considering trading for an 03 next year, in either white (because it looks BAD ASS) or red. If they change the white's interior to tan, I will stick with the red exterior!
