And a garage doesn't guarantee anything. Speaking of fail...
I suspect it's hard to plead self defense if you're shooting people in the ass as well.
How does birdshot "avoid litigation" any more than 00 buck? You seem to assume that 00 buck dictates longer engagement distances.
00 tactical for me. There's plenty of conflicting information out there. Like anything else, you gotta go with what works for you and what you're comfortable with.

Avoid the litigation and jail time...use birdshot. If someone is close range (ie: breaks into your house...birdshot is highly effective at close range...it will bring anyone down fast). It's hard to plead self defense if you shoot someone at ranges over about 10 feet and they are NOT inside your home.

sorry to hear that , happened to me once, got a proximity/ motion sensor alarm, stand within 1 ft of the doors/ windows and it beeps, dont move and it sounds the alarm and pages me, up to 4 miles away. never had that problem again.
problem with seat locks is they cut your roof open to find that they can't steal the seats
proximity/ motion sensor alarm

Seat locks aren't worth it imo unless you have some expensive aftermarket ones. If they want the seats they can have them. Atleast if they get stolen then insurance will cover the damages in full.

i have been updating the local section on this and haven't checked this thread out in a few days. a quick update:
insurance picked the car up tuesday and took it to the repair shop in the area. i found out that its probably going to take about 3 weeks to get new seats for it. i guess they have to get them from japan, i dont know.
also the repair shop guy and the tow truck driver who tows high end or lowered vehicles exclusively told me that there is a big parts theft ring in the carolinas area that is targeting s2000's and civics for parts. i am apparently one of the luckier s2000 owners, all the others had their roofs slashed, seats stolen, steering wheel removed and passenger side airbag removed which destroyed the dashboard.
so far the seats haven't showed up on craigslist or ebay.

Why do you hate seeing s2k seats in other cars? Whats wrong with the owner wanting to upgrade to better oem seats? I have S2000 seats in my hatch that I can guarantee because they are out of MY S2000. The seats in my s2000 arent stolen but arent the originals either. They are out of my best friends car because we put Bride seats in his and he didnt have a use for them anymore. Just because S2000 seats arent in an S doesnt automagically make them stolen.
OP, hope you get replacement seats or something...and haven't heard of seats being slashed just because they have seatlocks so i dono y ppl keep saying that.

Living in the middle of nowhere with an S2000 makes more sense to me every day.
If someone made it up my 1/2 mile private drive, began breaking into my S2000 at night it would progress like this:
1. I awake to my dog barking
2. I grab my 12 gauge shotgun
3. I shoot a thief in the ass with birdshot as he tries to flee from my pittbull's bite.
4. The dog and I hold him at gunpoint
5. Cops show up and apprehend him.

7. Thief sues you for assault and battery and assault with a deadly weapon.
8. Cops beat you down again.
