that sucks man. i had my S broken into last february by some stupid amateurs - all they stole was my bluetooth headset and the faceplate for my radio - but they sliced my top in the process. good thing my comp deductible is $0!

brand the vin # somewhere under the seat, i heard about seat locks but i would be afraid getting the car stolen and not just the seats due to not been able to get them out then

The car has an immobilizer and chip in the key that must match up to the ignition in order to start.

I'm not a high-tech thief, nor do I keep up with the newest gadgets to get around things like that, but how would they?

There was a news item on King 5 TV news last night about a guy whose seats were stoled from an S2000. Was this the OP? He mentioned that he's a member of an online enthusiast forum.

I have the Kodokan (sorry if I misspelled) seat locks installed. However, I'm afraid that these locks will not spare me the slashed top the bastards will leave before they discover the precautions I have taken. Kodokan, do you have window stickers warning that the seats are protected? I would be very interested!
