With that much profit, might as well just get a hard top and further reduce the chance of losing the seats.

Dang dude that really sucks. Where was this at if you don't mind me asking? You can pm the area if you don't want people to know. Well, if you need a good quality mechanic let me know. I'm pretty sure if you hang out on the Atlanta forums you probably heard of this guy.

Wow that does sucks i lived in a gated community and a week ago my dad walked outside at 4am to go to work and a suspicious person was walking by our house. He saw my dad and hid in the bushes so he called the police. In my driveway is my S2k my mom's G35 adn we have a 64 impala and Harley in the garage so there is a lot to take at my house hahha
If i were you i would stick to a pair of used OEM seat and pocket some cash....

You could always pick up a used set of seats for cheap on the boards or something and wait for the check to be reissued. I'd dip into my savings if I knew I'd be reimbursed and then some.

This was actually in Buckhead, the Lenox Park area. I had a flat bed drop her off at the dealership today and heard from a tech that this is the FOURTH s2000 in the last two months with the exact same damage.
Apparently a rival dealer has had another two identical thefts (turn signals, slash top, pop the seats) in the last two months too.
To top it off, the guy who towed my car said he towed a red s2000 a few weeks back that was in the same situation....except he had a hardtop and they just kicked in a window. Apparently he had only had the car for a week or two....
I agree with pocketing the cash, however I just got done with my Evo X (selling all the parts, getting it back to stock, etc) and it's literally worth the extra couple thousand bucks for me just to get it all fixed up at the dealership and walk away without the headache. I travel a lot for work and generally have enough stress lol.
Sucks quite a bit, especially with my $500 deductible, but i'm a big believer in karma. These guys will eventually stretch too far and get themselves into a bad situation....time will even it out.
