seatbelt light?

i know on other brands of cars there are ways to get the seatbelt light to turn off by a combonation of turing the key on and off along with other strokes. is there anything like that for are cars?? its not so much the light but the dinger that bugs the heck out of me.
and for the flamers, i do ware my seatbelt most of the time but its when there are times when i do go for short drive to shop witch is a bout 1 mile away from my house that i dont

There is a wire under the drivers seat connected to a pressure sensor - I'm not sure if disconnecting this will help, or if it will have other unwanted side-effects.
