Seat wear

Seat wear
My car is 17 months old, 25395 miles, a daily driver and the driver's side seat bolster is showing major wear. It started when the car was 6 months old. I complained to my dealer and they restored the leather but it is wearing out again.
I rarely wear blue jeans (thats what they blamed it on previously). Every time I have looked into another S2000 it has shown the same wear pattern. It looks to be a design flaw to me. Has anyone else complained to their dealer about this?Has anyone had any success in getting Honda to replace the seat covers under warranty?

It's a design issue, but I'm not sure I would call it a flaw - more of a tradeoff. Side bolsters high enough to provide good support also tend to get wear when you get into the car. I've had this happen on other cars besides the S2000, and the only solution I've come up with is to get in carefully.

M3's do this as well. My friends 99 M3 is almost starting to tear.
When I get in I try not to rub it, but it's still staring to happen.

I realize that there will be some wear due to basic design, but I also contend that the leather is sub-par, especially to be used in an area like this. I have driven 98-01 Accords, with factory leather that is definitely able to withstand more wear. If Honda did it for the Accord, why not our cars?

We have the same problem, (it seems to be a common problem) and brought it to the attention of the dealer.
Rather than have them repair it now, we'll wait until we are closer to being out of warranty.
We also have a 2002 Jeep Liberty with leather interior that has 34K miles on it vs the 10K on the "S", and that leather interior has no signs of wear.
