I also want to know what happened to those guys. I'm sure they were caught, their faces were in plain view.

Better get hardtops guys.

Not much help, really. It's not much harder to break in to an S2K with a hard top.

Last summer, I was staying in the Fort Lauderdale area and got my top slashed. Thanks to seat locks, I was able to keep my seats. Nothing else was stolen.

Seat locks should have been his first thought but maybe he didn't know they existed.
It might sound odd to those of us who spend a lot of time on s2ki, but I think the majority of S2000 owners in the U.S. don't know about s2ki - much less about the existence of Seat Locks, or the S2000 seat theft problem.

I'm pretty sure that the majority of owners on s2ki don't know about Seat Locks, either. That's from my experience talking to owners at various meets, and from hundreds of PMs and emails on the topic.

I hope our boy has some more video stashed away - of him and his bat laying down some justice where it's needed.

Thanks for posting the link!

I got mine yesterday and as soon as I get the car back, they go in.
then to the alarm shop.
I'm getting the one that gives you a little jolt to let you know that you shouldn't be there, then electrocutes you - but you are given fair warning for liabilities sake.

J/K

I did get the locks though.

Hardtop wont do much in the s2k, sure it might stop lazy thieves, but smart ones will just smash the window, take your seats AND your hardtop

Kodokan you got PM.

Our hardtops would be easy to steal. Just 4 latches.

is this as wide spread for other makes? they are nuce seats - but - wouldn't the seats from a BMW/Mercedes make a better target?
It's frustrating.....
