Default Seat Heaters

I had seat heaters installed in my 2003 S200 yesterday. So nice on the drive home! $300 purchase plus $200 for the installation.

The new model switches are round, not rectangular like the prior version. It's probably a little easier to get them in straight since there is no straight line to line up with anything else.

The manufacturer has a three-speed version out now, but I didn't get that.

I'll have to go back to the installer for one thing - the "SRS" light on my dash stays on now. I'm guessing he hooked up the power in the wrong place.

Can you give some useful information? Where did you buy them? Where were they installed? What brand did you get? Where did you put the switches? WTF is a "three speed version"?

I checked into doing this mod last year, and was quoted $800 installed in the SF bay area. If I could find a place locally to do it for $500, I would definetly do it!

is it really that hard to take off the leather and put them on? i would imagine you could by the kit from katzkin or something and put it on yourself for a lot cheaper

Seat heaters in Stockton? Do you park outside overnight? Personally I don't think it's cold enough in the winter, and it's a freakin' oven in the summer.

Yeah, the weather is pretty mild in Stockton, but if I had seat heaters, the wife would allow the top down on those cool spring morning drives!

$500 seems like a great deal. In NY I was quoted $800 - which is too much...

I've got factory seat heaters in two street cars and I live in an area that never even sees snow or real cold temps. I thought anyone would have to be nuts to want them here. I love them. On the cooler days I don't need to turn on the heater and on those summer days when I've been caught out in the rain and gotten wet they feel great.
