Default Seat belt won't latch

I was going to take the S2K down to the store but the seat belt would not latch. It would not even go in. So I take it to the dealer and of course while I am driving down that way a cop looks at me and does the seat belt motion to me. I roll down my window and tell him it is broke and I am going to Honda to get it fixed. He says cool and follows me all the way to the dealership (half a block away). I show him (the cop) it does not latch then he just says something about Honda sucking and drives off. Well the dealer ordered my part and it should be fixed in a week or so when the part comes in.

Any one else have this problem?

your seat belt connector probably is jammed, so the belt doesnt lock in..

There was a recall on the seatbelts for the MY00. Your dealer should know this.

'00 seat belt recall was for the retractors. Not the latch. Still should be covered by factory.

When one of my seat belt latches failed on my Ford they still covered it well past my warranty. Most manufactures are pretty good about taking care of safety system failures. Better that than a forced full recall of the entire line.

Thanks not allow to drive the car until the parts come in they won't let you drive with out a seat belt on base.

what?! the cop just made the seat belt motion to you, but didn't give you a ticket? what kind of reasonable town do you live in?

in these parts, we'd get ticketed, period. no seatbelt motion. no opening for discussion. the officer's likely statement would be, "If the seatbelt doesn't work, then it is illegal to drive the vehicle."

very strict regarding seatbelt laws around here. heck, they're strict with most everything.

I know a lot of cops in the town I live so he prolly knows of my cars not that many people have a S2000 around here much less a SC one. How am I suppose to get it fixed if I can't show the dealer it is broke at least that is what I would say? How are they suppose to fix the part if I can't take it to the dealer?

I suspect they would say you could have it towed.
