here's why I'm frustrated w/ the plastic window. it doesn't matter how much plexus you put on it, if the car's driven reguarly in inclement weather, sooner or later, the window will darken and crack, and require replacement. unless you garage the car over the winter, give it up. It's going to self destruct. While it's probably not too expensive to replace the window every 3-4 years (i figure 300-400 bucks would do it), exactly how long is Honda gonna stock parts for an outdated model year? I'm afraid that in five years, I'm not going to be able to find a replacement for my window. Furthermore, the glass part looks really similar to what comes on the Toyota MR Spyder, and the new Eclipse. Which means there's a volume distributor for the part. what I've got on my car is a part that was made for two model years of a low-volume production car. I seriously doubt (now that it's a legacy component) that Honda has a stock of more than 5000 of these things, and they're not getting more.

Which means I better get about four of them now, or I spring for a retrofit, or a hardtop, or get a beater and garage the S during the winter (probably the cheapest and smartest alternative).

Netwiz,

You sound really consumed by all this plastic window stuff. Maybe you should just sell the car and buy a Volvo wagon. That has a rear glass window and gets around great in inclimate weather.
