I am growing quite fond of the smell of Plexus and am becoming a master of removing scratches from my plastic rear window with the Meguiar products available. Who would want to give all that up for that tiny glass window? If I want glass I'll go for the hard top.

I saw the 2002 S2000 at SEMA and I like my 2001. I'm not going to say that I do not want to have a glass rear window, but I do not like the chrome around the tail lights, and as for the emblems, Rick is going to be selling a lot more badges, they are huge. I do like the new center console, but hate the new shift knob. But it is still a S2000.

I was one of the few people that had the opportunity to order a MY2002 or a MY2001 and I decided to get the MY2001. The rear window is WAAAAY too small, the tweeters look wierd, bright trim rings everywhere and the interior colors!
I DO NOT regret having ordered the MY2001 one little bit.

Just put the first 1000 miles on my '02 black/red. The rear window is great - no muss no fuss, especially in rain with the defroster. The new red interior is awsome - reminiscent of a mercedes gull wing I remember from the fifties. The car is smooth with that wonderful vtec growl. No doubt next year will bring new refinements - just a great car getting better. And of course since I'm in Florida only about 100 of the 1000 was top up.

I don't use my top much... my rear window is all scratched and pitted and looks horrible. The rest of my car is bright and shiny. I don't really care how it looks when it's parked with the top up. I've only used the top once while driving.
Besides, the rear window only has one function to me -- determining if there is a car behind me or not. Even if it's scratched and yellow, it still works. I don't intend on reading peoples' license plates backwards or trying to see if the girl behind me is blonde or brunette at 100 mph. So screw the rear window. I'd just assume take the top completely off.
The new sounds system just sucks a bit less. It still sucks, and still needs to be replaced.
I don't like the new silver. I regret buying my silverstone only because 80% of the other S2000s around here are also silverstone. If the five colors actually had 20% distributions, I'd be elated with my silverstone.
I don't like those huge-ass Honda logos on the '02.
I don't like the chrome interior accents. I would probably spend a while removing them.
The transmission is marginally different, and marginally better. If you have any problems with an '00-'01 tranny, you'll probably get the improved '02 tranny anyway.
We, the '00-'01 crowd, politely (and teasingly) thumbs our collective nose at the new '02 crowd...
