I always have gotten a wave back from S drivers and Miata drivers. Z3/Z4 drivers are a different breed though.

I was in Napa this weekend, and I crossed paths with an older gentleman probably in his late 50's coming towards me in the parking lot. He was a driving a baby blue s2k, and I could tell we were both looking at each others car. When we got close enough, he gave me a thumbs up and said "nice car you got there" haha, and I said likewise. Best exchange ever.

I'm in the NoVa area and whenever I see another s2k I always wave and typically get a wave back, I'm lowered, wheels, supercharger & big wing but that's hasn't seemed to make a difference. There's even a an older guy close to where I live with a Supra that always gives me a thumbs up.

I tend to get more "S love" from people in other cars.
this. about 50/50 chance of getting a nod from the other driver.

but tonnnns of attention/questions from people without an S2000.

Nothing fills me more with regret than missing a chance to return a wave. It's like realizing years later that someone was actually coming on to you.

That's about my experience. 50/50 if I initiate. 0% chance of the other driver initiating.

Now, where I live, there are basically no other Boxster owners so I don't get to find out either way.

I only drive my S like once a week so I never really have a lot of opportunites. I finally had one the other day when we passed on opposite sides of the roads and we both basically initiated at the same time. It was awesome
