Default Same Post in "Thump Noise" thought I should start a new one instead.

Old Tread but it seems that there are two separate symptoms spoken about here:

1. "Thump" noise that occurs when you put it in to first gear when parked or slightly rolling - remedy is to keep clutch down for a few seconds before putting it in to gear. I got that one, but its ok.

2. "Thump" noise that occurs in reverse that happens at the friction point? because I have this noise and dont have a clue of what it is.

Since today is the first warm day, I had my roof down and heard it more clearly. here are the steps and where I heard the noise can anyone help me? or does anyone hear this as well?

car is idle and in Neutral
press clutch and put it into reverse
give it a little gas, and let the clutch go
friction point catches and car begins to back up.
the noise comes right when you press the clutch back in to take it out of reverse, it is VERY noticable. sounds more like bearings dropping or something like that.

Does anyone know what the noise is or does anyone have it? It's really getting on my nerves cause summer is coming and the roof is going to be down more often. Thanks in advance.
