Default Salvage s2k due to theft

Ok so I stumbled across these two salvaged titles. I already know I can only get liability insurance but since I'm a college student, I probably might have to do that anyways if I got a clean title. So I'm wondering if any of you guys have experience with salvaged titles cars. Are any of you guys driving a salvaged title s2k? Also, I live in California. Do insurance companies insure salvaged titles after a dmv inspection? How difficult of a process is this?

Here's the first s2000: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Cars-Trucks...trkparms=39%3A1

And here's an RSX Type S: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Cars-Trucks...trkparms=39%3A1

I'm a little skeptical about the RSX since it's pretty new meaning a lot of damage/theft had to occur to give it a salvage title.

Well it sounds like the motor on the RSX was replaced. It was probably stolen.

It also looks like the wheels and tires were taken also.

the motor alone would probably total the car. I know they used to go for $8,000+ not including tranny.

I think it has been well documented that many insurance companies will total an S if the seats are stolen, especially an AP1.

I hope this helps.
