I've heard the sales maneger at a local dealer said S2200 w/ hard top confic and priced around Prelude is coming out next year, and that was 2 years ago....

If that ever happended, it'll kill Civic Si and RSX-S, TOTALLY!!!, including our S too! No way Jose.

They'll run the current engine for a 4 year run. They didn't put it in there just to have it out 2 years and scrap the model.

I only wish... but more VTEC for everyone. Honda seem slow with change with there higher tech models. But I hope they take out the S2000 but I doubt it. The sales has been strong for Honda I don't think they want to give that up. Since a cheap rear wheel is something everyone want right now.

Yeah, I remember that BS from the first people that got '00 S2000s- "Honda is making this car for one year only and we are special because no one else will ever be able to get one." The dealers were telling people that crap to justify the $10,000 markup when the car came out. I'm not kidding, the local dealer here had a waiting list from people in FL who wanted one- they would drive here and happily fork over $45,000 for a car.

If Honda is dedicated enough to keep making the NSX at its ultra-low sales level, the S2000 looks pretty safe.

The S2000's not going anywhere so long as overall sales are strong. Civic is showing signs of weakness but as long as Accord, Pilot, etc., bankroll the S2000, it'll stay.

Yeah what are they thinking?

They need to cease the production of S2000 after this year! PERIOD!
