piston speed is the same in the ap2 at about 8600 if i remember right, but that doesnt necessarily mean engine stresses are the same.

but i wouldn't mind it. you only live once, and it's not like you're turning 20% overspeed.
They're equivalent at about 8345 ap2 rpm.

Well, I thought 8>9 for all the AP2 guys? Now all of a sudden 8600>8000>9000? Well, I never....

Just kidding guys. No AP1 Vs AP2 crap now.

Haha, well maybe now it's CR > APx. It's kind of a hybrid between the two anyway.

Same here, though not for anywhere near as long as you! I am S/C, tuned with AEM EMS, cut off set to 8600 - though with a modfry shift beeper even during "spirited" driving I've generally already shifted by 8300-8400 rpm.

Right or wrong, I concluded that if Hondata felt they could run an AP2 to 8600 with reasonable reliability, that was good enough for me.

in the bigger picture, ask yourself if you could enjoy reving hgher, but had to replace the engine earlier, would you?
Absolutely not.

Think you'll get 150 -200K out of it? Hope so but I doubt it. Probably more so because of the boost than the revs, though.
