Today we lost a great guy and a great race car driver our thoughts and prayers go to his family....

 

RIP, It reminds us how dangerous that sport really is, I remember the death of Greg Moore like it was yesterday. Very sad to hear .

 

I saw a small bit about it on ESPN and looked it up online. - It is a very sad day.

RIP, I saw the video on youtube shortly after the crash, it looked very, very bad.

 

A bunch of s2ks were the parade cars for for the indy drivers prior to the opening lap, all of us were staged at the bottom of turn 1 when the crash happened and the sights, sounds and smell were unreal. Everyone was literally left in shock, RIP Dan Wheldon.

That must have been hard being there....we do the parade lap every year here since 2005 in St Pete.

 

I was shocked and saddened to hear the news. I watched a video replay of the crash and it was just awful. I was at the Long Beach Grand Prix this past April and I'm glad that nothing like that happened. My thoughts and good wishes for his surviving family are sent with heartfelt sorrow. This is a true loss.
