my gf drives a stick. she drives it good. 
grow some balls my young lad. they say things you don't like, punch them in their nose or knock them down. That usually solves everything. I guarantee they want say anything stupid anymore.
or if you're into the more "politically correct" woman way of associating yourself with others, then say "maybe" give them a smile and change the topic. They say a lot of things, that doesn't mean it's always true.

If you are that insecure about a car then just don't drive. There are always going to be people that will criticize you no matter what car you own. BUY THE CAR YOU WANT! I cant imagine being that concerned about someone calling your car a "chicks car". FWIW my car is suzuka so I hear some good natured ribbing about my car but damn I couldn't imagine not purchasing it because of that.

Honestly I don't believe it's that bad of a color, just rattling your cage a little like the guy at my office does when he calls my car a girl's car. Daily. Who gets home faster every day? Me. It takes to long to get the revs up in his 2001 Accord V6 Coupe (auto).
