Default S2ki.com WE TOLD YOU SO...

About a month ago 4 threads were started to get a Vortech Supercharger GB running at non-polished price of $3850 plus we also ended up with an additional $100 rebate = $3750.

Although the thread was closed 3 times and the 4th was volunterey due to the fact the myself and several other owners took the GB completely offline. We were able to strucuture the GB through the largest supercharger online supplier and that is all that I am going to say about the distributor.

This wasn't a grey market sell or a have ass put together KIT that one forum sponsor blurted out.

It is too bad that many people lost out on this deal for many reasons and motivations to stop this buy will remain unknown.

So here it is.... With a date stamp that is about an hour old. It took 3 days and 16 hours to install the kit.

The 40 page manual needed to be 90 pages. There are many steps left to the imagination. We had to figure out several things on our own and credit also goes to XVIPERS how to write up. I printed out his write up in color and used it as a supplemental manual. In addition he actually wrote another thread on how to tighten the tensioner pulley.

There were also several brackets and bolts not provided that cause some down time. We had to fabricate our own brackets for mounting the heat exchanger and water reseviore. I had to also wait on vortech to overnight some missing pieces to me.

Assemblying & Mounting the supercharger took the most time.

Put the belt on before you fasten the supercharger plate to the engine, we made this mistake on the first go around on another owners car.

Not having a oil pan tap and a crank pulley holder also caused some down time. We found a hardware store that had a tap and then we rented a crank pulley holder from a import shop.

Looks good CMiS2k!!!!
Congratulation on your new toy buddy.
I will start my installation this weekend, I can't wait to hear the BOV and feel the extra G-force

I will post a Vortech's SC kit intallation feedback thread very soon. I know a few people who are keen to listen
So far it looks like Vortech may make a harness in the future for ease of installation for future buyers.

Cool, glad this worked out. If I had the cash, I'd have been in.
