Why do JDM cars on the rear liscence plate, they have one LARGE left screw and one small right screw? Does anybody know why?
It's a kind of security from taking the plates off as far as I know. It's almost like a rivet. I lived in Japan for 4.5yrs and I forgot all about that until you mentioned it. I don't remember exactly but I know when you register a car, they put the plates on it and it has it on it. When I got rid of one of my cars I know I had to basically break it off since it just spins. I guess they have a special tool to take it off and put it on. Hope this kinda answers your question.
