ill never drive my S in the winter again, well at least not with OEM tires. Scariest driving of my life!. I got a winter car, screw lake effect snow!
get a beater if you can afford it, just to keep your S clean! it seems like everytime i come out of winter with a car it collects more and more door dings.

Make dang sure the wheel offsets are right. Discount Tire Direct should probably get it right, but see if you can get the numbers and check 'em.

Oooh, I don't know if that's a good idea doing snowies that aren't staggered. Mine sure are... I think you'll regret going with 205s at all corners... I think you should go with stock 16" sizes 205/55 and 225/50 in the rear. I don't have the stock wheel offsets.

Well, it's all about how the car handles. A safety thing, really.
Admittedly, with snowies, you're not going to be driving at 10/10ths very often, but still, on clear days, I guarantee you'll still want to have some fun.
If you don't do the stagger right, you'll have horrible oversteer (not fun, scary).

Spend some time over in the wheel and tire forum. You really don't want to get this wrong. Do some research.
I don't think the stock wheels are the same all the way around, by the way.

I used all season Yokohamas all last winter and the car drove fine. I wanted a tire that was not only good for the winter, but could also be used for fall and spring if I wanted to. Chicago gets snow, but it also gets cleared in a matter of hours. So here its mostly dealing with slush. As long as you're careful you can drive this car just fine in the winter, as long as you are running all seasons or winter tires.
