D. "touching" a minor means "touching" in private places. NO HE CAN NOT get charged with molesting a kid for beating him up.

E. false imprisonment is differerent than kidnapping. You also have every legal right to detain a person for committing a crime that you were a witness of, especially if you are the victim. It is called citizens' arrest---but you must tell the person you are detaining them for that.

Reason is because you need to have things "Documented". You need to have a paper trail.

Letting the kid go serves NO purpose and teaches him nothing.

The documented charges will in the future serve a purpose in the event the child has a history of violence, vandalism or continues to mis-use his toy gun.

What if you have been shot with the gun and not the car?

I would be livid that some kid would even point his gun in my direction. People have been shot and killed by police for doing the very same thing.

F that...Kids will be kids, but sense when has that been complete and random lack of respect for other peoples property...My parents would have wooped my a** if they found out i ever did stuff like that back in the day. Kids will be kids is playing in the dirt and messin up your clothes or even rolling a house. This is easily cleaned and nothing to really get upset about. Either way, I would of def chased him down...Probably just made him take me to his parents house and had then pay for getting the damage repaired...They can punish him how they see fit. Which based on his behavior probably wouldnt be too rough on him. Your idea probably worked better. Just my .02 To me touching another mans car is out of the question rather your 12 or 50.

To agree with some previous statements...
It's great that you got him. Kids seem to be out of hand these days, and sometimes they need a good scare to make them konw the difference because most of the time their parents are slack in any sort of enforcement for societies rules.
Parents these days bug the crap out of me.
