I rode in an EVO for the first time last night, and the kid who was driving the car (a friend of a friend) did not impress me at all with his driving skills. He couldn't even rev match his shifts, but he was able to take very twisty roads at way higher speeds then I would ever attempt in my car. He was pushing it like a maniac in the corners, and I was shocked at how well the car handled, I could only imagine what it is capable of with a better driver behind the wheel. Long story short, I was very impressed.
It's easier to push a 4WD in the twisties. I couldnt catch my friend in a WRX in the twisties. He was pushing 8th/10ths while I was also pushing 8th/10th's and i was barely keeping up. And so he got ballsy and cocky about how he could show the whole crew how to drive cars. Two weeks ago I had to hand him the keys to my beloved S2000 since I had to drive my Boss's car (Lotus Exige) to his house (from HIN). I trust him with the S2000 however without my permission he pushed it like he was pushing his WRX (8/10) and lost control right infront of me! He spun 1 1/2 times before he stopped safely. He almost hit an SUV and/or wall! ####in moron!

The Evo is a much easier car to drive than an S2000 due to AWD.

In a straight line, the Evo will almost always win.

In twisties... a skilled driver in a stock S2000 will beat a skilled driver in a stock Evo nearly every time.

In case y'all hadn't noticed... they're completely different cars!

He may have given you that room. Deep in a fast turn right up next to some yahoo with a hard-on is the last place I would want to be.

I've was in similar situations and seen the other driver get some scary overstear and go partially off the road. If I had been on his ass, or up next to him, there would have been a accident.
