You've been on this board two months and yet you're able to school us all; I'm impressed!

Actually, I happen to know that the two members you're dissing could probably take you to school on a race track. (btw... that's where racing should be done... hence their flaming of your "street race" story)

The Evo Vs S2000 thing has sort of been done to death around here... it turns out they're completely different cars. (who knew)

Perhaps before you get all up in arms about the "rude" folks on this board, you might try learning the ropes sp that your posts appear in a forum where they'd be welcome. The "street encounters" folks love this stuff... unfortunately, those stories make us responsible drivers cringe. We've all seen too many wrecked cars and ruined lives from this kind of driving and would rather never see another of that type of "street encounter" happen.

Take your S on the track and then you'll fully appreciate what a great car you've really got.
There are other NICER ways to point a NEW member to the right dirrection. Being rude is easy, being ethical and polite takes a lot more effort.

good point... sometimes we're not as patient as we perhaps should be.

Street racing is one of those topics that tends to inflame because many of us are quite passionate about discouraging it.

Being ethical and polite (as in posting in the right forum) takes a lot more effort too. Oh wait, no it doesn't.

The EVO owner was just messing with you.

All in all when it comes to street racing, its all about who's stupider and who's stupid enough to take the biggest risk to win....

I think everyone of us has been guilty of street racing at one point in time during our lives but hey be careful out there and pick your races and battles carefully....

I don't condone street racing, but even so, pick and choose your races wisely. There are cars that will embarass the S2000 royally in a straight line, and the EVO is one of them.

You use the guys that do the Dragonball run as models for your driving behavior?????
What would lead this implication?

My driving behavior is based on approximately 275,000 miles of spirited driving I've accrued in the 11 years I've had a license without a single traffic ticket or accident. You can drive "spirited" without being a hazard, just be courteous to other drivers on the road and only increase speed when it's 100% safe to...and for the love of all that is good and wholesome...PAY ATTENTION ON THE ROADS!

I hate people who think speed is what causes traffic accidents.... "oh had to of been speeding" It's those idiots who are not paying attention that cause the accidents.

I'm sure most of you have been in a near miss situation where your evasive manuevers is the only thing that prevented some tool from sideswiping, rearending, or T-boning you. I've had some close ones...but I don't treat driving as a means of getting from A to B.
