s2k vs.....C6 vert?
well, I let my friend borrow my s2k for a day until he picked up his new C6 vert tonight...and I was suprised by his reaction.
He called me from his car after we tooled around for a while, and said my car feels a lot more fun! Better to drive on the highway, and it actually, to him, "felt" quicker. Obviously it's not anywhere close, but he said the C6 felt too much like a luxury car comparatively, and the S was more like a raw sports car.
I'm not sure I agree with his opinion, as I love the C6, but there it is. Maybe he'll trade with me....

That's cool.
I like the go kart style of our car and I know the vette probably doesn't feel like you can throw it around as easily. It's cool that he showed that much respect for our car. I know a lot of domestic owners that look down their nose at a "little 4 cylinder roadster"

the vette appeals to people for many reasons.
american icon, status, looks, high power numbers and very solid performance for the money.
but no one gets that car for road feel. i've driven both, and i feel numb in comparison. no doubt it accelerates faster, and it is number one (zo6) for performance/buck. but the S wins in Fun/Buck. big difference.

Man I find it very hard to climb into any other car after driving the s2000. The way it handles is amazing, I love it. I haven't used my other car since I bought the s2000 a few months ago, literally has not been touched (except for when the street sweeper comes by, and then it still feels like a stranger)!

slasherx, im in the same situation. i feel so guilty for not driving my other car. how do u deal?
The car is a 1995 Mazda Millenia S, and I do miss having that supercharger because the kick was amazing (with the miller cycle engine), but things change. I couldn't deal with the car anymore for numerous reasons, reliability being the main one.

They haven't made a real Corvette since 1967
It had 327 V8 with 350 HP stock M-21 4spd trans and a 3.55 final gear I could chirp the tires in all 4 gears it handled great even with the old Firestone F-70 red line tires.
It had no power steering or brakes it leaked when it rained the radio, well lets say it was there in spirit! no A/C and the seats were like sitting on a park bench but what a car, SOOO much fun 'O'-YA the steering wheel was huge, like a bus
