It seems to me like they know. I mean....Honda of America isn't deaf or blind. They see what's out there. The overly done civics, and the relatively small population of pure sports car enthusiasts. At the end of the day, it all comes down to sales. I mean, look at Toyota. Since the Supra, (excluding Lexus) they have yet to release an amazing sports car, and for good reason too! Have you seen the amount of Corollas on the road? Their latest release the "Venza" sure is far from anything close to resembling an amazing sports car. And yet, they probably sell more Venzas to a larger pool of people than the select few who will cherish a performance machine.

Probably easier to just buy a sports car from Mazda, Nissan, Hyundai, etc. Vote with your money. Its not the economy is the fact that there is no Uehara at Honda - no one with the desire to make a sports car - fortunately there are other carmakers and they have some great sports cars.

I've always heard that the Corvette was never a profitable car all on its own but is a marque for Chevrolet and to a larger extent, GM.
If this is true, the S2000 probably boosted sales for Civics and Accords.
Honda will probably produce something in the future to continue this this train of thought.

They would build one if there was demand. Dont need to protest. Vote with your wallet.

As I posted above, I think the best way to show support for a new Honda sportscar is to go to the Homecoming event. Without an actual car to purchase, I don't think there's much we can do with our wallets.

How many of you guys are really in the market for a brand new sports car? I mean, a lot of us complain about Honda not making new sports cars, but how many of us would actually go out and purchase a new ride if Honda released one?
