S2K pricing? 17K for a 01 w/51K miles?
Hey guys, I've been shopping for my gf who is about to pull the trigger on a S. I've come across a few deals and she's basically looking to pay about 17-18K, possibly more for a clean 02+. I'm talking to a guy about a gpw/red and black interior 01 with approx 51K miles. The car has the usual rock chips, rear plastic window is a bit dirty and he's done the buzzing clutch TSB. Would you guys consider 17K+TTL a good deal?

Mine is an 01 with 26k and I got it for $17,500.
$17,000 for an 01 with 51k is a considerable price...but not too good IMO. You can probably find an 02 around that mileage for the same price. Just got to look harder.

I just picked up an 00 with 67k for $16,000... I would imagine it has a whole lot to do with your area, because here (In NW Florida) there was exactly ONE S2000 for sale under 20k-- and I bought it.
00/01s here for go for 20-22 with ~50k miles.

it all depends on how long the car is for sale.
in the first 60 days, you probably won't get one for 16-17K...even from a private seller. Thing is, most S2Ks disappear quick in FL.
16-17K is a DUMPING price, not one that you are going to be able to negotiate on a car that was listed for a short time.

The 01 with 52K miles ended up being crap and had been rear ended. We found a nice 00 gpw/red with a VERY good history for a good price. Picking it up this friday, thanks for all the help guys
