S2K Pop-Up Headlights!
#39
Pop up stuff is always fun. I wanna a pop up convertible top that opens partially when I slam on the brakes for a parachute effect. If NHRA can do it, why not S2000's?
I had the best pop up headlights ever on my 87 Sunbird GT. They only covered about an inch of the headlights when fully closed. Anything under 30 degrees out and I had to drive with my headlights half covered with the stupid doors frozen shut. Another super cool Pontiac design. Nothing tops the disco action of the 80's Corvette lights though. Those things are off the hizzy.

I can only condone doing a mod like this if you follow a few other necessary protocals.
First, you need to paint your car a very loud and obnoxious color, such as Hot Pink, Flaming Mango, or my personal favorite, Fruity Rainbow.
Second, you should chrome as much of the car as possible, as this will add the necessary weight to keep those Civic DX's with fart can mufflers within laughing distance.
Third, and this is important, plush out the interior. I would suggest baby seal, but chia pet will work just as well, and without all the bleeding heart liberal BS to deal with.
Fourth, consider a very large rear wing, preferably something made from diamond plate as it is very shiny and fun to look at. It's also very durable in offroad conditions.
Fifth, and this is only a suggestion, but a serious consideration should be made for a complete hydraulic suspension set up. This will help out when you want to show off the headlights, because you can make the front of the car jump up and down to further accentuate your new headlight mod.
Sixth, a very large and overly complicated stereo system is also a key part of any good sports car. You could set it up so that the neon lights underneath the car flicker on and off with the music.
Seventh, one word, Dubs. Or to be more precise Dubs plus Two. 22's will set off the car just right, and with the help of your new hydraulic suspension, rubbing will be kept to a minimum in some places. Chrome spinners would be my personal choice. Maybe with a Rhinestone "H" badge in the middle. Bling Bling Baby.
Eighth, I cannot stress enough the importance of stickers. With proven dyno results everywhere, stickers are a very low cost way to trick out and good sports car. Perhaps Calvin peeing on a Mustang, or a baby seal?
Good luck, and enjoy your new S2000 SiR Type R GTR.
and yes, i know i'm an a-hole

I wonder if the EBAY reserve will ever be met on that whip?
