Default s2k noise

i took my car out for a spin tonight with my top up....boy was it LOUD. for months, ive been driving top down and the sounds were great. however, with the top up, the engine is so loud, really noisy decelerating, creaking coming from all over the place, etc....seems like the cars going to explode or fall apart. anyway, its top down driving from now on. or get a hard top to reduce the noise level

Lemme guess, its a MY2000, right?

If the deceleration noide is between approx 4000 and 2500 rpm, take the car in to get the clutch disc replaced under warranty (TSB00-054). Thatll fix that sound. I just had mine done, and its amazingly different.

Mine is quiet! I hear people say there is so much noise when the top is up, but I don't hear it. Maybe my wife is right......I need a hearing aid!!

Mostly because you have to turn it way up to hear it over the noise and crappy stereo systems just add to the noise when turned way up.
