S2k model year differences
I have been looking for a used S2K. Other than the change over from plastic rear window in 2002, what are the mechanical differences of 2000 vs 2001 and so on. If you find a car with equivalent milage, is the 2001 significantly different?
Thanks

2002 and newer has a slightly larger rear anti-sway bar to try and tame the S2000's tendancy towards snap throttle oversteer.
I believe 2002 also brought the round shift knob as opposed to the thinner "pencil"-type shift knob on earlier S2000s...

2001 - Standard Air Deflector, Floor mats, Clock in radio, Spa Yellow Debuts
2002 - Silverstone Disappears, Sebring Silver and Suzuka Blue debut, Glass rear window, Slightly different tint in the wheel color, slight change in trunk lid brake light, Center console cover changes to plastic-type material, "door pockets" added, Chrome ring tail-lights, Interior enhancements (tweeters, part leather shift knob, another new radio design)
2003 - Silverstone returns
That's all I can think of quickly off the top of my head.. there were several, at least 2, new clutch designs along the way as well.

I could be mistaken but from a performance point of view, the '02s on up seem to have a slightly remapped ECU providing a little more power than the earlier models.

The dash is a little different in the newer ones........there is a white line arc that goes between the numbers on the tach...older models don't have this line.
