Something to keep in mind if you currently have or are considering placing the license plate inside your windshield:
If you were to be involved in a car accident where the airbags do deploy, the potential for that license plate being pushed/pulled by the airbag is highly plausible.
Any object that is not fastened properly in the cabin could become a dangerous object in trajectory. Using suction hooks, velcro, or even just jamming the plate in the dash is not going to hold the plate when it counts. If you want to have the 'no license plate' look for the front bumper, please leave the front plate at home.
FYI, Virginia state is one of the many states which requires both license plates to be displayed.
