I bought a family car hence the cx-9 in the garage. Wifey and I love the S the only time we thought about getting rid of it was when we were about thinking about trading it in for the exige. However we love the S too much. Will get the exige when one becomes available and will be our new 'S'

 

I have never owned anything but 2 seater sports cars, even when I got married (32 years ago) and had kids, still owned my 2 seater. Wife sold her car to buy something we could all go in and when we went as a family we went in her car, if just her and I, top comes down and off we go. We have many hundreds of thousands of miles with the top down with just the 2 of us.

Kids are temporary, keep the S and get a beater SUV when the kids move out you can get rid of the SUV. My wife can't wait until our daughter finally leaves, she is looking at the new Alfa spider since that is what she sold when we started our family.

Life is too short to not drive the car you want, yeah a family means you can't always drive what you want but there are plenty of opportunities to get out for a top down spin and as the kids grow up they will like going with you and the top down.
