I wasn't trying to be an asshole, and don't see how I came off as one. I just gave my honest opinion about both cars. I like the S2000 for what it is, and have made comments on my forum about the OhioSKi owners in a good light. To be honest, I really haven't seen any S2000 bashing on EvoM so this is coming out of left field for most of us over there. I like my car for what it is, and you like yours for your reasons. What I do have an issue with is the original poster thinking that he can talk trash about one of the best cars on the planet, and not expecting a backlash.

i was typing up some eloquent response to the evo guy and the people egging him on, but it really doesnt matter. i dont care what people think about my car, i enjoy it, obviously, or i wouldnt have bought it. i know people with other cars feel the same way, and i respect them and their cars. its nice when they do the same.

The s2000 is just Honda's way of showing off. It doesn't really matter how it compares to other cars performance wise. They made a 2.0 liter with 240hp. Redlines to 9000rpm safely. Spanks that ass on a track. Awesome reliability. I don't think Honda is worried about beating the competition in performance, but they sure did beat the competition in originality, design, pure engineering.
Sorry, but it isnt hard to throw a turbo on a car and make it fast.... Nor is it hard to get hp out of a huge engine. The s2000 is in my opinion the most unique car in the price range.

There was never any mention WHY the cars can't be compared. Each were built for a different purposes. No one mentioned Mitsu's WRC heritage, or Honda's F1 legend. You guy's are squabbling about the wrong things.
