S2k air conditioning
SJust got my S2k and was driving in about 95 degree weather and noticed the cooling outlet temperature fluctuating from cold to somewhat warm and back to cold. SLike the compressor was kicking on and off. SThis was all happening at speed.

It is normal that it cycles. Here is a link with much discussion about said topic.

Ssounds like a good reason to put the top down. Splus if you left your top down you wouldn't bang your head every time you get in or out of the car, which may explain your Sstutter.

this car has an excellent a/c, so far, even in hot weather...but there is a limit to any a/c, perhaps you reached the limit of what it can put out, in that the exterior was just too hot ? so far i have used it in 90 degree weather and it works very well, cure it cycles but not enough so that the temp drops.

As one who lives with 95 degree heat most of the year I looked into to it also. When it's that hot, switch to recyle inside air only, do not use outside recyle. There is a big difference. I got this from Honda.
I've not been happy with the AC on my MY04 either. The problem is, it does cool, but.........
Thinking that I may just be too picky here, I went and bought a small thermometer to put in the AC outlet on the dash to see what the air discharge temps "really" were.
What I found is that the system will cool down to about 40 degree (outside temps were in the low 90's) which is more than acceptable. I checked it at 3/4 fan speed and in recirc mode. After the system stabilized, the compressor would cycle (normally, I think) and the temp would warm up to around 50 before it cycle back on and start to cool again.
I then went to outside air and the system would still cool down to 40 degrees so recirc mode or not, there wasn't any difference. However, when cooling outside air and the compressor cycled off, the air would warm up to between 55 and 60 degrees before the system would cycle back on again. That's way too much difference as far as I'm concerned. In fact, the air would warm up enough that the temp gauge would fog over until compressor cycled on again. I don't think that's right.
I've also got a MY01 Honda Odyssey. My minivan cools down faster and stays cooler than my S2000 does in the heat of the day and it's got at least 10 times the interior volume. I'll bring it up on the first oil change. We'll see what the dealer does about it.

I used to have that problem before I my A/C compressor died and was replaced under warranty. The 'cyling' with the new unit is not as obvious to me as has worked better than my original unit.
I would have the dealer check it out just to 'log' it in their system.

I read a thread at some point that gave instructions on how to get the ECU to do a diagnostic of the A/C system. It was something like "Hold the XYZ button for 5 seconds with the key turned to the ON position then tap the ABC button 10 times and watch for the so and so light to blink. Count how many times it blinks, and compare with this list of error codes." I've been doing forum searches for like 20 minutes now and can't find jack. Anyone know how to do a diagnostic of the A/C system as described above?
We had our first super hot day here in Arizona and cruising down the highway at 75mph with the A/C cranked to max, SET TO RECIRCULATE, NOT OUTSIDE, it never properly cooled down the car. I was driving about 90 minutes solid, and it would just cycle from cool to warm to cool to warm the whole time, never actually cooling down the inside temperature of the car to any better than maybe 85 degrees or so. This can't be right.
