S2200 now a reality!!

How is the 2 liter measurement determined?
Is it the size(diameter) of the piston, the stroke, the volume of the cylinder, or all of the above?
The second question, do we know how Honda will increase the displacement from 2.0 to 2.2 liters?

With all due respect, a "whopping" increase to 2.2 liters would not make the car "feel fast driving in a lazy way."
And to clarify, do you guys think that we'll see both different gearing for better acceleration and a displacement increase? Reading Barry's post on the previous page makes me think this increased torque is being claimed based on the gearing changes. And Blair's post says they might still call the car the S2000, so add both of those up and we could very well end up with changed gearing, same engine, new color, new interior bits, etc. I'm just wondering if this old displacement increase rumor got mixed in with the "real" announcement? Thoughts?

Also, I meant the "feel faster driving lazy" as in people complaining this car has no torque and is slow etc. The S2000 indeed can be very fast when driven properly, but I guess those people think having torque down low is everything. In that case, if they think the 200cc increase in displacement will help, whatever. It's like saying F1 cars are slow when driving around 3000RPM.

or they could do it like the prelude, accord, civic, ody and just keep the name with the power increase
Either way who cares, good by black 03 hello 04 if this is true.

What I mean is, no an extra 200cc will NOT make the car faster. Most likely it will make Honda engineers lower the redline,
One question though, if Honda chose to go with a larger bore why would it be necessary to reduce the redline? The piston speeds will be the same as long as the stroke doesn't change and the slight increase in mass of the piston is probably not that significant.
