The previous owner of my S2000 lived in San Antonio. It seemed like a great place for the S2000! He was able to drive it all year around, and have the top down for most of it. Now it's in Illinois, and it sees the garage during these months! You would see some S2000's in San Antonio, somewhat often, I thought. However, here in Illinois, I can count on one hand how many I've seen!

Yea for instance, i used to live in CT where back roads where all other the place, hairs pins etc. Now i moved to Florida, where its all straight, and THAN got my S for the first time, so having driven those back streets and not having them makes me jealous. Although i would not drive the back streets fast, im only 20 and someone driving for 4 years does not have the capability to drive fast and not get in a wreck on those streets with a car like the s2000
I had a subaru WRX which had some ****** close calls already, thank god for AWD.
That being said, i would still take up the offer for the chance of just cruising down the streets where i can turn my wheel, or swing out the back JUSSST a lil, nope, not here in florida.

I also have a honda Element as i am a scuba diving instructor here in Miami, and the family figured that be a good choice since you can hose the car out. Well, honda design a drain system in the car.
"No biggi man just park it on a hill."
"I live in Florida BRO, you want me to park on the on ramp!?"

I've lived in NY most of my life. I was in FL for a year until last March. I loved having the nice weather for the S in the winter but besides that it was not a fun place to have an S. Once I got back to NY where I live the mountain roads made driving a million times more fun. The FL street grid is plain horrible for any enjoyment driving.
CA seems to be the perfect place for an S2000 besides all the damn emissions laws.

CA definitely has the most S2000's but it is not necessarily the best state to own an S2000 in. The insane taxes they pay coupled with the smog laws negate the fact that they have less rain than the east coast...and we won't even get into southern CA traffic issues!

The best states on the East coast for the S2000 is Western NC/Eastern TN, Western SC and Northern GA....some of the best condition mountain roads with little or no police presence and you can drive for miles and miles without getting stuck behind a single slow moving car.....combine that with perfect convertible weather from March through December, low taxes, no smog tests, driving distance to many East coast cities....you have an ideal place to own an S2000...and we didn't even mention "Tail of the Dragon"......

Socal for sure. Used to live in San Diego, now Phoenix. There are a lot in PHX, but I think Diego has a good bulk of these cars.
