S2000s with 60,000 miles or more...
I have come upon a couple of S2000s (MY00) and both have over 60,000 miles..so I have a couple of questions:
What are the reliability issues of S2000s with that much mileage?
Are there any problems I should look for when I inspect the cars.
Also, I have come upon an S2000 for $13,000!! 2 Problems, the car has a salvage title (minor front end damage according to the owner) and it has 70,000 miles. Am I asking for trouble with this car. I really want an S2000 and being in college, that is a good deal.
Ideas, thoughts, opinions, criticisms?

Yup, you're asking for trouble with any salvage title car. And only cars that have major damage are registered with a salvage title unless it was just stolen, stripped, then rebuilt again.
And you're asking for trouble just going with the 00 year S2k's as that was the first year S with all the bugs. Should try to get an 02 or newer as this car ain't the cheapest to fix nor is it low maintenance in comparison to other Hondas.

Is this minor front end damage?

Salvage title=bad, stay away unless it's under $10k and you want to strip it and take it to the track.

Mayeb you could find an S2k expert to go through it extremely thoroughly and determine if the car still has any major problems- if not, maybe you could talk the guy down a little more and have a fun car for cheap. But if you can't afford to fix weird, unexpected problems that can arise after a rebuild of a wrecked car you cannot afford that car.

I believe that you can get away with a salvage title... depending on WHY it is considered a salvage. I mean, you're paying $13,000 not $30,000. I say take the risk. You can't even get a slightly used Civic EX for that price. Go for it kid!!!
