The S2000 and X43A have eerily similar dimensions
NASA is going to be testing the X43A Scramjet plane tomorrow. At 12 feet long, a 5 foot winspan and 2800lbs, it is almost the same size as an S2000. Of course, the X43A will be traveling at about MACH 7 tomorrow!!
That's what I call a sweet power to weight ratio!

Wow! I hope this one is sucessfull. The last one went uncontrollable and they terminated it. Many people don't understand how amazing it is to go that fast within the earth's atmosphere. The heat on the outside of that thing must be very high.
To make an equivilant example of the power needed to make something go that fast. It would be like trying to make a submarine move at around 500mph under water. That's how much resistance there is at that speed. Even with the aerodynamic shape.
