Is there a link available?
It's good to see that the S won. In a previous comparison by Car and Driver (http://www.caranddriver.com/article.asp?se...8&page_number=1), both the Mustang Mach 1 and the 350Z beat the S...
I guess the comparison criteria were different in the previous C&D evaluation...

It had to have been different. I believe that in that issue the honda barely lost to the stang. Not only that it was a comparison of sports coupes, not roadsters. Im glad to see the S came out on top on this one.

Wow they really bashed the S2000. Saying it buzzes like a beehive and makes rattle noises, cramped up feeling when the hard top is on and is very annoying on the highway at 4K or 5K. Also it came it third. Where did you get first place from?

There's a brand new Roadster comparo in the issue I just received in the mail today.
The third place rating the S2000 received earlier was a sports car comparo comparing coupes, and the S2000 in question was equipped with a hard top. A roadster with a hard top is always going to have more squeaks and rattles from the top and it will obviously also magnify all interior sounds.
This latest test was a test of roadsters, meaning drop-tops only, and the S2000 came out on top for performance and handling but also for value, given most of its competitors in the test are significantly more expensive.
All in all sort of a vindication of the S2K's design, given how old it is and the fact that it still comes out on top.
Really, the only negative factor in the review was basically that they felt you'd be nuts to drive it as a highway car...
