s2000 vs porsche boxter 2.7
Well Hi to u all!I am 19 years old and i live in Greece.I have a Bmw z3 at the moment and iI am going to sell it for a new s2000 or a used boxter.
Well I am in a big delima. The s2000 is faster and new but I am afraid i coold get killed if i push it too hard. The boxter has an esp and the interior is more comfortable, its a porsche also but its used and doesn have a gurrantee.Well i also want to know if thes s2000(2002 model has an esp).So what should i do?

I'd go with the S2000.
I test drove a boxster S and a S2000 on the same day and felt they were very evenly matched except the Boxster S was $20K (US) more.
I think the S2000 is the performance bargan, and the porsche is overpriced.
The only thing the boxster has over the S2000 is the traction control and PMS. But this is a double edged sword. I'd like to have it for rainy driving, but I found that by just driving slower I will make out OK in the rain. Also the porsche has more trunk room but this is a low priority for me.

All the crap about the S2000 being a dangerous car are overexaggerated. It will bite you if you do something really stupid, but so will a mid-engined boxter (though the bite won't be as hard). Because you can't get away with sloppy high speed driving, the S2000 will force you to be a much better driver.
Cost of ownership (oil changes, etc.) will also be a lot lower in the S2000, too.

It's very simple:
Don't drive through a turn faster than you can.
There, now you'll be safe ;-)....
Why are people afraid of the s2k? It drives like any other
fast RWD front engine car--I don't get it.

It sounds to me like you are well on your way to managing an S2000: you're aware that the car demands your attention and respect. IMHO, the S2000 has the best accident avoidance capabilities of anything I've ever driven (I'm 51 years old). Just keep in mind that it *will* bite you if you do something incredibly stupid and learn how to drive it.
