It's a Ford so most likely you did damage LOL
I drove a GMC 2500 for 5 years for my job that paid for college. Mostly city driving...was hit in the ball hitch more times than I can count by car bumpers.
Never caused any damage.
In my last summer on the job, a 90's GrandPrix rear-ended me at stop light going about 25-30mph. GP was totalled...driver and psgr ended up in hospital...I drove the GMC back to work from the accident scene with nothing but a sore neck. My boss ran it to body shop later that week and it was diagnosed with.....a slighty bent frame! That beast is still running.
Mr Expedition is trying to squeeze a few $$ out of you.

[QUOTE=afwfjustin,Nov 21 2005, 03:18 PM] Actually, if you get something in writing and notorized, saying that if you pay him 450 dollars than the deal is completely over and nobody can claim anything again, it will be to your advantage.

Here's the thing. YOUR liability insurance policy (I assume you have one, as most all states require it) provides that you notify your carrier of any possible claims. If you have not done so , do it right now. Otherwise, you are in breach of your duty to your own insurance company. Also, you policy will provide that you may not accept liability or pay any damage claims without first notifying the carrier.
That being said, I am personally familiar with both the s2k (own one) and the Expedition (son-in-law owns one -- God knows why). There's no way a lowered s2k could damage that damned tank -- even if it plowed into the rear end of it at 100 mph!
Thanks,
Richard

Notfullflip: Don't pay him $450. Use insurance. Since you are over 25, your insurance will probably not go up by $450 over the next 3 years. Especially if your total damage is under $750.
I didn't want to click on this thread because I thought someone was trying to decide on buying an S2000 or Expedition.

Come on guys, there are a couple of things here that could be done. First cops shouldn't have been called because it just complicates things. DO NOT CALL YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY!!!!!! I repeat DO NOT CALL YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY!!!! The reason why, is because if you get your insurance involved in this you stand a very very high chance of your insurance going up. I have first hand experience because I am AN INSURANCE AGENT. i know this stuff it's my job. It would be best if he came at you with damages to just deny it, there is no proof of who's fault. Further more you 99.9% did not cause any damage to his truck. The only repair bill you should have is the one on your car. ANy insurance questions give me a PM
