Default S2000 V8 5.3L?

s2000 EBAY LISTING

Hey guys, just wanted to share this with you. No I am not the owner of this car or trying to help him sell it in any way. I just wanted to share it cause it has an engine swap of a 5.3L Tahoe engine V8...

Any thoughts?

Why you would go to all that trouble to install a Tahoe motor is beyond me. 300-400 pounds of weight gain? Christ, it's probably slower than stock. The LS motors would be a much better choice.

forgive me if Im wrong..but doesnt the tahoe use a LS block? I think it might depend on the year/package but I know the tahoe SS uses a LS based engine!

yeah, 2000.5+ tahoes use lsx destroked motor. def different cam, maybe even different heads, not sure on the bore either. bottom line, the motor in that s2k is built to schlep a 5k lb truck around, not a 2800lb s2k. now, if that was at least a lsx 5.7+block, then yeah, that would at least be cool.

400+ whp allmotor would be hella fun.

i have to call bs on a couple things. one who would put a damn tahoe motor when any other v8 would be better, and two, he said that he had a rear quarter panel relaced... i thought that that was damn near impossible and that it would make way more sense to just patch or bondo it???
