S2000 under 10k?
#31
I just don't get why would you want to pay $10k for a car with 100k+ miles.
Apparantely it seems like you don't know how much $10k means, I think you just want S2000 because it's a cool car. And your friends would admire it.
Sorry to being mean to you, but get something else. Getting an old s2k for 10k is waste of money at your age.

Lets no flame the kid for his age! Not everyone is a moron at a young age. I was taught what was the appropriate time to flex your power and I normally took my car to tracks to beat on it.
At 17 I owned a 650 HP 1989 Ford Mustang GT, running high boost out of a Paxton Novi blower into a built 331CID stroker motor This was my daily driver for 3 years and I never had any major problems in the car because of my stupidity.
But back to topic, If you find an S2000 in the 10k range then it is going to be a well abused one, and you should stay away from that. You need to do some serious math to be sure you can handle the maint. costs and insurance. And do all this while not needing to resort to a diet of Ramen like many of us do!
If you can afford it.... then go for it. If not then find yourself something more in your reach! Good luck, and hope to see you in an S2000 one day!

Age does not equal instincts. There's 40 year olds that can't drive for sht. Plus, everybody learns the road and car at different rates. One who has had their license for 1 year can very likely be a better driver than someone who has had it for 10.

If he's 17 and can get one, then do it. I wish that they had S2000's when I was 17... I would have bought one. When I was 17, they had Del Sol's and they sucked.

hmm
what are some alternatives to the s2000 that you think I could find for 10k??
something besides a civic please haha. I've found some WRX's which are cool, and I sort of like the Audi TT, but I dont know if that would be any cheaper than the s2000
