The S is geared for about 175 MPH, but there isn't enough torque to get us there.

The S2000 has poor aerodynamics, and you have to be half-dead or asleep to miss that fact, at or above 135 MPH.

I hit 143 MPH according to the OEM speedo, on the NJ Turnpike with the top down..... car was nowhere near redline, so i dont find it too outlandish to suspect with enough road one could tap 163

I've never had my S2000 over 135, so perhaps I drive too slow?

Seriously, the car is not at all "unstable" at 135 indicated, even though it's a roadster and wasn't designed with top speed in mind. If you run into anyone who does spend a lot of time driving over 135, let me know. I'll make sure that I ride with someone else.
