Did 164 mph on my top speed dyno run in 6th gear. This would indicate that anything
remotely near that on a road where the car is actually receiving drag would result from
conditions (downhill, rear wind, etc) that would nullify its truth.

I do not agree that the S2000 is unstable at 130, but by 135 it is clear that the rear is lifting and things aren't what they could be.

I have compared mine to my GPS up to around 80 and it is within 0.5 mph, so the error is not that significant, though that error will grow by the time you get way up there. My Jeep Cherokee by comparison is 5 mph slower (per GPS) at highway speeds than the speedo indicates.

The S is geared for about 175 MPH, but there isn't enough torque to get us there. We'll stop increasing speed before redline in sixth gear(because of aerodynamic problems)...that's why FI helps, it gives us the added power to overcome that wall that the wind creates.
