ttb has it exactly right. gswetsky assumes the car will reach 9k in 6th. It won't do that! If it would redline in 6th, then, yes, more HP would not increase top speed but in stock form it won't redline so more HP WILL increase the top speed. As a matter of fact, the car will go almost as fast in 5th as it will in 6th.

I've done 139(Top down) and the car felt great, nice and stable, didn't notice the rear like the above posts mention. Plus the S felt like it still had plenty left in it, so I believe anywhere between 155-162. The only way to tell is to try it. As fas as I'm concerned the car goes as fast as your willing to take it, not many r willing to take it to that speed, or theres not too many areas that you can do that speed on.

You guys who seriously think your S2000 can do 160mph (on a flat road, no wind
at your back) should buy a GPS and end the madness. As I mentioned before, on
as totally flat a road as one could hope for, in ideal conditions, a radar gun tapped me
at just over 150 mph. Bone stock. The road could of continued for ten miles and
the car wasn't going any faster. Speedo error exists in this car (as it does with most)
and you are NOT doing 160 mph even if your dash is glowing bright amber and just because you're doing 152 at 8500 rpm doesn't mean the car has "plenty more."
Common sense fellas...good grief.
