There is no way yet, short of sitting in the car 24 hrs. a day with a S&W to keep folks from stealing your car. in some cases even that won't work. Anyhow, I think 27.5 is a good offer. Mods on a car actually do not make it worth any more. If anything they decrease value in most cases. It is like Rick said above, you need to go to your insurance agent and get a write on to your policy for whatever your mods are worth, if you are concerned about them being damaged/stolen.

My father bought a brand new 03 beautiful black one for 29.4k so if you look around hard its not too hard to find one for invoice or very close to it. BTW he was not screwed in financing or tradein. He had no trade and got a 3.89%apr from dealer. And the dealership still makes money for selling cars even for invoice price. Its called holdback, look it up
