Default S2000 Steering too Vague??

I hear this complaint from people now and then. I personally think the steering feel is one of the best out there. Perfectly weighted, and communicative with just enough isolation to feel refined. The feel of the steering wheel is excellent as well. Whenever I drive other cars, the steering wheel feels like something out of a greyhound bus.

Maybe anyone who says that has the fronts inflated at 20psi.
My car goes where I point it, plain and simple.

I feel that the steering is a touch to light (compared to no power steering CRX) and not as communicative as the best out there - but it's still pretty darn good!

I think heavy and accurate is better than light and accurate...

You can retune your power steering to make it more heavy.

I have mine dialed in quite nicely.

There is a Faq on reseting the output of our power steering.

Having had a few German cars over the years I can offer the following. Best steering I have experienced - air cooled 2wd 911. Next best I have experience - early BMW M3 (4cyl) - way superior to E36 M3. When on the very limit, you can tell what is going on with confidence in those two cars. There are lots of other good ones too. Sometimes slow steering ala early M3 is an advantage at high speeds so that is a factor too. Some American cars feel like you are driving a video game - you find out where the limits are by looking out your windshield. One thing the Germans do is use a lot of caster. On an S2K you might try setting it to the high end of the acceptable range.

This issue is too much in lines with "which car do you think is cuter?"

Just drive it and don't worry about what others think.
